Waterfront Center
The WFC is a not-for-profit 501(c) 3 organization located in Oyster Bay, New York. Our mission is to encourage students of all ages to become actively involved in the preservation of the environment and to promote the safe, enjoyable use of our marine resources. The WFC works to fulfill its mission through a combination of programs including its sailing school, an extensive environmental education program–Classrooms Without Walls, and the restored oyster sloop Christeen. Visit their website at www.thewaterfrontcenter.org

Located to the east of what will be the new waterfront rehabilitation and along Oyster Bay Harbor, Roosevelt Park provides every outdoor facility a visitor would want. Most of the activities and facilities are only available for residents of the Town of Oyster Bay, but the boat launch can be used by non-residents.

Located 15 minutes north of Oyster Bay in Bayville, CIB is unique in that swimming is available in both Oyster Bay Harbor and the Long Island Sound. Beach facilities are available to both residents and non-residents.

Charles Ransom Beach – 516.624.6160

Located 5 minutes west of Centre Island Beach, Charles Ransom Beach was recently renovated after the disastrous Nor’easter storm of the early 90s. The renovation added a playground facility as well as other amenities. Beach facilities are available to both residents and non-residents. Across the street from Ransom Beach is the Bayville Boardwalk where food and refreshments can be found.
