Oak house is definitely the best place to stay at manchester uni..Its proper sociable like owens park but its so much cheaper and you can cook for yourself. My experience of living in halls has been amazing and I would highly recommend studentsstay in halls for at least their first year. The food was much better than in other accommodations and the staff was the sweetest!! on 07/03/2008. And if anything breaks they are wicked at getting you new stuff right away. This allows you to settle into university life quickly as everyone is in the same boat as you. In Unsworth Park you share a flat withtenpeople including yourself, and in my case there wasfivegirls andfiveboys which meant we had a great opportunity to get to know new people and friends that Ill hopefully have for life. There is a quite time enforce during exam times so no worries there. Also supplied with a kettle and a microwave. Everyone who lives here is so friendly too! Oak House has max one flight of stairs, not that far to walk up and little damage when you stack it down them. I wish I would have known how small and noisy this accommodation would be, but this is a cash-cow for the University of Manchester.
