When Sony rebooted Venom with his own film in 2018, many fans began speculating when Tom Hardys Venom would face Hollands Spider-Man. Sony has been shrouding theMadame Webmovie with a mystery that only leaves fans with their fingers crossed, all with the hope that this doesnt perform as badly as Morbiusdid. One rumored "No Way Home" character who didn't end up in the film is Scorpion, a classic "Spider-Man" villain from the comics who's been teased in previous MCU films. Somehow, this Symbiot has had unseen adventures with an unseen Spider-Man (that he knows is Peter Parker). No Way Homes mid-credits scene essentially adds to the pile. He wouldn't have fit with the other "No Way Home" villains, and the movie has way too much to cover in its earlier moments to bother with a minor villain plotline that doesn't tie into the overall plot. It's possible that Scorpion could still appear in the MCU down the line, but at this point, that seems unlikely. Of course, outside the context of the story itself, there are plenty of reasons why Grace's Venom wouldn't have been a great pick. Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield exist in the film primarily to offer advice and assistance to Holland, and bringing in any of their friends, family, lovers, or allies could have made the ending of the movie even more chaotic than it already is. When he asks for help from Doctor Strange the stakes become even more dangerous, forcing him to discover what it truly means to be Spider-Man.. While on the topic of Venom, Topher Grace's Eddie Brock is another past "Spider-Man" character who has every contextual reason to be summoned by Doctor Strange's spell, but isn't. It clearly isnt enough for fans that those three fabled cinematic Spider-Man adversaries plus Doctor Strange are all headed to the screen in No Way Home, because when Spider-Man 3 Venom actor Grace did a Reddit AMA via his IamTopherGrace account to promote his show Home Economics, he was immediately hit with questions about his own possible participation in the new Spider-Man film. After all, two Venoms arebetter than one. Strange and Dr. Octopus (Alfred Molina) comes into his dimension. Here is the synopsis forSpider-Man: No Way Home: For the first time in the cinematic history of Spider-Man, our friendly neighborhood hero is unmasked and no longer able to separate his normal life from the high-stakes of being a Super Hero.
