2010 f150 steering shaft recall

What would cause my 2004 F-150 steering to be stiff and not Seems to be unstable with different road conditions. hope i or my kids do not die in this truck. I backed out of the driveway into the road and when I started to turn steering wheel it started jerking and was almost impossible to turn. I have been quoted $3300 to fix it, that there is no recall available but I can find online where there was a recall on 2014 F150s at one time This is just very frustrating. 2017 f150 same problem steering sticks when going around corner very dangerous, Im in Texas, please let me know if there is a class action lawsuit in my state. Hopefully this lawsuit gains some traction. I just bought a used 2016 f150 44. Has there been an update to this case? They told me it should help but it has not and it still is very loose and pulls without warning. So Im concerned that Ford has to know about steering issue, but wont recall the problem. I have 2019 Ford F-150 44 5.0 But I havent found any recall from ford. Just bought an 2019 f150 same issue. 2018 xlt 44 with 39k, Ive noticed the same strange steering behaviors. Steering hangs to the left and difficult to return it to the right. Same issue. My 2018 F-150 pulls to the left and the steering wheel points to the left (slightly). OWNERS WILL BE INITIALLY NOTIFIED AND INSTRUCTED TO TAKE THEIR VEHICLES TO A FORD OR LINCOLN/MERCURY DEALER IF ANY INTERIOR DOOR HANDLE IS LOOSE OR FAILS TO RETURN TO THE STOWED POSITION AFTER ACTIVATION FOR REPLACEMENT OF THE AFFECT MODULE. The company says it knows of four crashes due to the problem but no injuries. Not related to steering, the vehicle had a problem with all of the dashboard lights going out with the exception of the radio. Money talks and right now were just squeaky wheels. So leaving dealership going through a S curve at 46 mph my steering wheel locked to the left, naturally I panicked and jerked wheel back to the right and it worked. The only way to deal with this stop buying their products. Wanders alot makes it hard to maintain the lane. But returns to normal at lower speeds. I just found this article after doing my own research on the problem and now Im saying this is a major problem for a lot of F1 50 models 2015 to 2018. My husband has a F 150 2016 with the same issue, lights, turn signal, and important controls go out. Feeks notchy when you turn. The Ford F-150 class action lawsuit was filed by Mark Lincoln who says that he noticed the steering problem upon purchasing a 2016 vehicle, and was told that he could bring it back for an alignment which would fix the problem. So to say the least. Frustrating to buy a top of the lone truck and drives so poorly! Ive been waiting since October for a replacement with no eta. 2 sets of struts,2 sets of inner and outer tie rods and replaced the lower control arms. And Henry himself, is rolling in his grave. Not every electric steering design does this, but the F150 does have what is called memory steering where if you steer right or left unless you steer it back to center it has a tendancy to keep steering towards last input.
