In 1992, Linda was awarded the Virginia International Trade award. I always looked forward to what new, crazy, goat knickknacks she would be wearing the next time I saw her. But I am thankful to see and and know from my own experience that everyone she interacted with will have a happy and loving memory of Linda. She was an incredible person, with a beautiful soul and we're so grateful to have met her even if just for a short time. My husband and I got married April 29 2017 and the day couldnt have been better with the help of Linda. Linda was a popular invited speaker on a range of topics for national and international organizations, including agriculture, finance and business management, leadership, marketing, web design, volunteerism, herbology, and parliamentary procedures. We fell in love with her farm - so much that we came back every year on our anniversary to snap a photo. I was touched by her care and concern in making the his wedding absolutely perfect. We have always had a close bond and I was glad to be 1 of her 'older' sisters. Our paths will cross again, on the other side. Manchester | News | Jun 2014 For many years, Linda was the business manager for her familys business, Oscar T. Sours Excavating, a well-known and beloved contractor in Page County and beyond. My thoughts and prayers are with you and family. She was an awesome lady and I enjoyed our conversations. She could accomplish so much in her hotel room after a long day of conferencing and networking while I would be moaning about being exhausted. Some of her talents included painting, ceramics, sewing, baking, cooking, cake decorating, and quilting. Always a teacher and friend to hundreds, we all, who admired and loved to be around her, are grateful for knowing her. Campbell Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information -- Karoline Pershell and Greg Scott. What a wonderful tribute to an amazing woman. God blessed me in that I have had this time with my dear Linda. Her absence will be felt so much in the goat world. Bless Leith and family. I loved being around her but was also in awe of her very serious work ethic. While there is no denying the positive impact her successful businesses, volunteer work, and selfless dedication to others had on the world, all of these achievements are secondary to who she was as a mother. Lindas energy and capacity for taking on new projects were seemingly boundless as she successfully balanced the management of multiple businesses, a life of community service, and raising four independent and dynamic women who all take after their mother in a variety of ways.
