OysterBayLI.com has been online since 1997, making it one of the oldest continuously operating community websites on Long Island. What began as a personal project born from rediscovering the beauty of Oyster Bay's downtown has grown into the definitive community guide for the hamlet.
In the early days, when the official town and hamlet had no web presence of their own, this site became the de facto source for all things Oyster Bay. Our early coverage of the Guardian and the Enterprise-Pilot, and our love of the village — epitomized by many evenings at Canterbury Ales — shaped everything that followed.
Today, the site continues its original mission: celebrating, documenting, and connecting the community of Oyster Bay hamlet.
